Welcome to the USS TOLEDO CA-133 Association's website, owned and operated by its members. We hope you will find all you need to know about our ship and our association on this site but please feel free to ask the Webmaster at the bottom of each page if you have a question. Enjoy!

The USS TOLEDO CA-133 Association was originally established in December 1986, when 24 of our former shipmates got together for a mini-reunion in Long Beach, California. It was decided at this time to continue the reunions and search for more members. John Farris, a former S2 Division cook, took the bull by the horns and got things going. Many subsequent reunions have been held since.

We are looking forward to our next reunion in 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Special Notice

As your website administrator, I have decided to take the opportunity to recognize a shipmate for his service to our Association.

Bob Wood came to my attention when I volunteered to become the Sec/Treas at the request of the then current officers. Along with those responsibilities came the maintenance of our website. I needed help to do this since I had never worked with websites although my IBM background was very helpful. Bob stepped forward to give me advice and council on how to get started and lots of encouragement as well. I quickly found out Bob was familiar with the site and the Association from his past and so realized he was a valuable asset.

Bob, for whatever reason, refused my requests to acknowledge his help back then but now I find as we all approach our final deployment that I should speak up of his contributions to our Association. He just felt it was the right thing to do.

So, I am taking this opportunity to tell you all how much I appreciated what Bob did for me when I needed his help. I thank him for his unselfish contributions every time I touch this website.

Thank you Bob!
